The Plain Truth about Appliance Repair Brands

9/25/2017

This post will be short and sweet - but could save you hundreds of dollars if you are fortunate enough to read it before purchasing a dishwasher or stove!

Here's my one minute tip of the day:

Stop spending so much money on appliances that won't last more than 10 years, if you're lucky. Avoid Samsung and LG because hardly anyone works on them, even under warranty.

As an appliance repairman for many years, I'll be upfront to tell you that I don't work on Samsung or LG stoves or dishwashers. In my opinion, it's not worth it to fix them when they fail.

I know....it's a hard truth, but my job is to get your appliances humming again, and when it comes to certain brands....well....let's just say you can have a humdinger on your hands when it comes to repair!

I hope this tip saves you time and hassle!

Protect Appliances During Storms and Outages

With summer comes thunderstorms and power outages. Everybody knows to protect their computers, TVs and electronic devices, but don't forget your appliances. Nowadays, almost all appliances have electronic boards and are susceptible to power surge damage just like your TV or computer.

If you can, before a storm, unplug or turn off at the breaker box your appliances. Likewise if the power goes out, turn your appliances off to protect them from the power surges that often come when power is restored to your home. For even more protection, have a qualified electrician install a whole house surge protector to prevent costly and untimely repairs for your appliances.
